They're so out of it they can't face reality (the law-makers, that is)

Article Abstract:

The controversy surrounding the case of a UK Cabinet minister's son accused of dealing cannabis highlights the hypocrisy of the government's drugs policy. The government still believes that young people must be protected from cannabis, even though almost half of them will have tried it by the age of 15. Similarly, the identity of the Cabinet minister's son must also be protected. The government seems determined not to allow ordinary people to decide for themselves whether they will use cannabis. It is assuming responsibility for people's lives, even though it can offer no guarantees.

Who gives a damn about the working man?

Article Abstract:

Working class men seem to have become a largely overlooked section of UK society. Advertisers only wish to target young, upwardly-mobile men with large incomes, and there are few goods or services for working class men. They are marginalized by the media, and have responded by shutting themselves off from society as a whole. They feel that women are taking over, and are being forced to reconsider the role of work in their lives.
