The writer's tale: how a story chose an author and wowed the critics

Article Abstract:

It is often wrong to attempt to place novelists in a particular category, according to Canadian novelist Margaret Atwood, whose ninth novel, 'Alias Grace,' was published recently. She has often been seen as a feminist, but points out that she simply writes for people who read books. She believes that the subject for her latest novel chose her, rather than her choosing it. This novel reflects her fascination with the extremely small details of life.
