Psychologist Dr Mika Haritos-Fatouros of the University of Thessalonika discovered that military elite corps training aims to create mindless people who would follow orders unquestioningly. Article Abstract:
Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli believes that he has been able to overcome his blindness to develop a successful career because he has always refused to accept defeat. He has been a great lover of opera since childhood, but has found success with recordings of well known pop and folk songs, rather than with stage performances. He is not yet very well known among opera critics, and there is not much demand for him to sing real opera.
