Still hazy after all these years

High Times, the world's leading magazine for cannabis smokers, celebrates its 25th anniversary in Nov 1999. This magazine has campaigned tirelessly for the legalization of all drugs, and places strong emphasis on using celebrities to promote dope-smoking. It is clear that many of its readers are attracted to it because of its associations with illegality and non-conformity. However, senior editor Steve Bloom does not feel that the magazine would face difficulties if cannabis were decriminalized.

Jackson family values

Article Abstract:

Michael Jackson's plans to address the Oxford Union Society on Mar 6, 2001, on the subject of child welfare are discussed. The fact that Jackson himself does not comply with the traditional family ideal is highlighted.

Article Abstract:

Music festivals held in Britain during the summer are examined in detail. In 2001 the Glastonbury Festival was cancelled, but there are plenty of alternatives including the Cambridge Folk Festival.
