Article Abstract:
There are reports that covert Serbian military operations are taking place in the Tara Mountain region, which straddles the border between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, in support of the Bosnian Serbs. Serbian police combat units are believed to undertake one-month tours in Bosnia, entering the country undetected by using trails over the Tara Mountain. These reports add further weight to claims that Belgrade has not completely severed links with the Bosnian Serbs.

Article Abstract:
There is growing evidence that petrol and military supplies are being smuggled across the river Drina from Serbia to Bosnian Serb troops in Bosnia. This goes against promises made by the government in Belgrade to ensure that its borders with Bosnia remain closed to all except 'humanitarian aid.' Some observers believe that president Slobodan Milosevic of Serbia has never stopped supporting the Bosnian Serbs' war effort.

Article Abstract:
Many Bosnian Serbs have an extremely high opinion of military commander Ratko Mladic. They seem him as their saviour, and are prepared to accept anything he does. He sees the current conflict in Bosnia as an extension of battles which have flared up their throughout the centuries, and sees the Serbs as still fighting to turn an Islamic tide away from Europe. He also suspects Germany of expansionist aims.
