Article Abstract:
Television companies frequently ask to make programmes about public schools. The school gains little but viewers are fascinated. Little editorial control is available to the school, as the content depends on the producer. The school only has the right to veto incorrect facts or if individuals who wish to be omitted are shown. A balanced view can give good publicity. Benenden is filmed by Channel 4 for a documentary on Mar 9 1992.
