New schools shape pharmacy's future

Article Abstract:

An increasing number of pharmacy schools have developed innovative teaching programs and curricula and to prepare students for the future. One innovative program is the use of the Internet by the Shenandoah University's School of Pharmacy to deliver its curriculum to students across the country. In anticipation of the changing roles of pharmacists, some pharmacy schools are offering courses in alternative and herbal medicines, pharmaceutical care and disease management.
