Lord Wilson of Langside

Article Abstract:

Lawyer and politician Henry Wilson studied at the Law School of Glasgow University, Scotland, just before the outbreak of the second world war. He was called to the Scottish Bar in 1946, and in 1948 became Advocate Depute at the Crown Office. He was Sheriff in Greenock, Scotland, and then Glasgow, Scotland, and became Lord Advocate in 1967. He was created a life peer in Mar 1969, and made his maiden speech to the House of Lords on May 1, 1969.

Lawyer and politician Quintin Hogg was born in London, England, in 1907. He gained a Double First at Oxford University, England, and was a Fellow at All Souls College until 1938, when he became Conservative MP for Oxford.

Robert Treuhaft

Article Abstract:

Lawyer Robert Treuhaft was born in New York, NY, in 1912. He gained a scholarship to Harvard Law School in 1930 and began working with the International Ladies' Garment Worker's Union. He married Jessica Romilly in 1943.
