Canals join the 21st century

Article Abstract:

The Falkirk Wheel, which links the Union and Forth & Clyde canals in Falkirk, Scotland, was designed by Tony Kettle of RMJM Architects. The 32 million pounds sterling construction, which is scheduled to be opened by the Queen in spring 2002, is partly attended to attract visitors to the region.
