Blast from the past

Article Abstract:

Nimbus Records is using a combination of highly advanced equipment and modified old equipment to remaster material for its 'Prima Voce' series of early vocal recordings. The mastering is undertaken digitally, but in all other ways the procedure follows the principles of analogue sound. The company's main challenge is finding very good quality copies of original 78rpm records to record from.
