A vast land out of the shadows

Article Abstract:

Libya is an extremely large country, but has a population of only 5 million. Most of the country is desert, but it offers a range of spectacular scenery. Most visitors to Libya travel on organized tours, which tend to visit the northern littoral Roman and Greek ruins and the ancient settlement at Ghadames.
