Article Abstract:

President George Bush continues to consider his country's military response to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. Most experts anticipate that there will be a two-phase response, with a rapid, initial attack using bombs or cruise missiles being followed by a long-term military, economic and diplomatic effort.

Assets of groups linked to terrorism are frozen

Article Abstract:

President George W. Bush has ordered the freezing of the assets of 27 individuals or groups believed to have connection with terrorism. Some of those named are regarded as close associates of Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.

The agony of the children left behind

Article Abstract:

There are many children who have lost a parent as a result of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. Children's charities are beginning to realize that they face great challenges as they prepare to work with bereaved children in the short and long term.
