Article Abstract:
Police appeals for information about nine missing women who were known to have connections with Rosemary West, who has recently been convicted of murder, and her late husband Frederick West, have brought in a number of new leads. There are no plans to begin any new searches for human remains, but decisions will have to be made about which of the more than 1,000 incomplete lines of inquiry to follow up. There is strong pressure for an inquiry into the failure of social services departments to deal more effectively with this case.

Article Abstract:
The family of Mary Bastholm, who disappeared in Gloucester, England, in Jan 1968, still do not know what happened to her. Frederick West, who confessed to 11 murders, mentioned her name when being interviewed by police, and regularly visited the cafe where she worked. However, he denied murdering her, and nobody else has ever been charged with the crime. Her relatives are now having to come to terms with the fact that she will never be found, especially since Frederick West committed suicide.

Article Abstract:
Police believe that Curtis, Cherelle and Clinton Porter, aged eight, five and four, were murdered by their mother Joy Porter, who then committed suicide. Friends and neighbours report that the children had always appeared happy and well looked after, but that their mother had recently become withdrawn and depressed. She believed that she had a spiritual problem, and had been seeking to rejoin the Seventh Day Adventists.
