Songwriter Kenny Gamble and his partner Leon Huff were responsible for the Sound of Philadelphia and their hits lasted for a decade in the seventies. Gamble returned to Philadelphia, PA, to clean up the neighbourhoods and in 2001 is involved in restoring a theater.

The residents of the traditionally liberal Mount Airy neighborhood have been objecting for three years to the Betak state home for AIDS patients which has now been built. The controversy and the history of the neighborhood are discussed.
