Of circles and riddles: Stefan George and the "Language Crisis" around 1990
Article Abstract:
The relationship between modernist poetry and the visual media at the turn of the century is examined. It argued that there is no specific 'language crisis' around 1900, but a much more comprehensive epistemological crisis affecting all representational media.
