Article Abstract:

Temple University terminated English professor David Bradley in April 1996, for not fulfilling the teaching load assigned to him. Bradley counters that a 1984 agreement with the university gives him the right to refuse a teaching-load increase. The issues surrounding this case are discussed.

Up in smoke

Article Abstract:

Smokers, now banned from smoking in office buildings, congregate outside in all sorts of weather. They look sad and inspire pity. A plan to build overhead funnels as shelters for the smokers and to collect the smoke is discussed.
