Article Abstract:

An account of the work of archaeologist Fred Hiebert is presented, in which he describes the discovery of a horse dated 7,000 years old in the Black Sea. Hiebert is a central character in one of the largest archaeological projects in a generation, investigating geological changes in the Black Sea which may have biblical significance.

Despite the presence of "mad cow" disease and foot-and-mouth disease, 2001 is seeing new steakhouses springing up all over Philadelphia. Two of these new restaurants, Capital Grille at Broad and Chestnut, and Shula's Steak House at the Wyndham Philadelphia on Franklin Plaza, are presented and rated according to atmosphere and food.
