Kathryn Firmin-Sellers' book 'The Transformation of Property Rights in the Gold Coast' deals with African anthropology and neoclassical economics. The book 'Black Men Speaking' by Charles Johnson and John McCluskey provides insights to the lives and times of all black men. Obioma Nnaemeka's 'The Politics of Mothering' is a study of African literature, while his other book 'Sisterhood, Feminisms, and Power: From Africa to the Diaspora' is about African women issues.

The books 'Organized Labor in Venezuela, 1958-1991' by Steve Ellner and 'Oil and Development in Venezuela During the Twentieth Century' by Jorge Salazar-Carrillo are about issues on labor, economic development and exploitation of oil in Venezuela. Ellner's work is a research based on labor documents and interviews with labor leaders. Salazar-Carrillo's work is an analysis of the impact of oil on the economic development in Venezuela from 1910 to 1990.
