The book 'Drawn from African Dwellings' by Jean Paul Bourdier and Trinh T. Minh-ha challenges the old concept that traditional African houses are static artifacts. Kathryn Firmin-Sellers' book 'The Transformation of Property Rights in the Gold Coast' deals with African anthropology and neoclassical economics. The book 'Black Men Speaking' by Charles Johnson and John McCluskey provides insights to the lives and times of all black men. Obioma Nnaemeka's 'The Politics of Mothering' is a study of African literature, while his other book 'Sisterhood, Feminisms, and Power: From Africa to the Diaspora' is about African women issues.

The new diaspora - African immigration to the United States

Article Abstract:

There have been a growing number of Africans migrating to the US because of the political and economic situation in Africa and due to the globalization of world economy. England and many countries with colonial ties to Africa have had stringent immigration policies which has made the US an attractive place for migrants. The immigration trends are analyzed based on statistics. The immigration is likely to grow given the economic situation in Africa and US's current immigration policies.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), civil society and effective food aid (EFA) in the Republic of Georgia

Article Abstract:

An examination of the reactions of beneficiaries and recipients to the school lunch, infrastructure rehabilitation, direct food distribution and micro-credit program is assessed to explore the Effective Food Aid (EFA) impacts of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) food aid in the Republic of Georgia. It is found that the reactions of beneficiaries and recipients are positive and the programs are moving positively towards the main EFA objectives.
