A search for an optimal policy in a corrupt system: a note

Article Abstract:

In developing countries, despite having a large body of literature that controls corruption there is always a problem regarding corruption, however, researchers argue that general corruption cannot be controlled. The different instruments available for the control of such pilferage are discussed in a game theoretic framework.

A CGE model analysis of effects of adjustment to terms of trade shocks on agriculture and income distribution in Kenya

Article Abstract:

For the purpose of looking at the effects of two important terms of trade shocks facing Kenya in the mid 1970's, a simulation analysis using Kenyan CGE model is used. Results show that the Kenyan economy is very susceptible to external shocks.

Gender differences in the urban to rural wage gap and the prevalence of the male migrant

Article Abstract:

An estimation of the rural to urban earnings gap is carried out separately for male and female migrants and the influence of the gaps on the migration decision of each gender from rural and urban earnings are also explored.
