Article Abstract:
South London, England, has traditionally had a negative reputation compared with the north of the city. However, this situation is now beginning to change. Certain parts of south London are becoming popular residential areas, and the region is also attracting people interested in restaurants and in the arts. Its fortunes are also set to be boosted by the opening of the Jubilee Line in 1999, which will greatly improve transport links. This could lead to a rise in demand for large sites at attractive prices.

Article Abstract:
The town of Swindon, England, has attracted many high-tech businesses. According to some agents, it is now suffering from a lack of new industrial space to allow future expansion, with the local authority seeking a period consolidation. Some developments are going ahead, however, including Lydiard Fields, situated at junction 16 of the M4. In the office sector, demand is limited, especially in the city centre, where some 44,127 sq mt stands empty.
