The amenities and economic incentives available at Louisiana's Shreveport are discussed to identify the suitability of the site for manufacturing industries. The plans of Steelscape, a metal processing company based in Washington, to set up a plant at this port are discussed. Port has a number of industries, which can help any industry develop a sustainable supply chain. Other oil and petrochemicals projects, and technology projects in the state of Louisiana are also discussed in brief.

World's longest tunnel will speed Swiss rail traffic
