Several more categories are: Global venues; urban development; transit systems; new towns, redevelopment, mixed-use projects; and project data base. The value and location of the projects are given.

Canada's Computer-Telephone Integration Initiative is at the forefront of Canada's efforts to gain a larger share of the global telecommunications process. The organization focuses on easing the business relationships between foreign and Canadian telecommunications firms, by providing match-making services. Some of the successful alliances of Canadian telecom firms and foreign firms are the partnership of Canada's IML and US's Melita International Corp. to develop ATM connectivity solutions and the relationship of Canada's Smart Technologies and US's Intel Corp. to provide data conferencing solutions.

Article Abstract:
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has added another monumental achievement in its corporate history by winning the 1999 Corporate Appreciation Award. The award was given by Economic Developers Council of Ontario in recognition of the electric utility's vast contributions in the province's economic development. The award giving body also commended OPG's top-level executives who attracted a number of investors in Ontario by enhancing electrical services in the province.
