Disktop, version 1.2 ($39.95) is a shareware package from CE Software that permits the user to test the software before using it. After a decision is made to use Disktop, the software can be upgraded to allow users to quit one program and transfer to another, using the file management control program. Disktop's laser printer utility, Laser Status, informs the user whether the printer is in use, who is using the printer, and what document is on the printer. Laser Status also checks the fonts in the printer and downloads any with just a click. Disktop is described as easy to use.
