Slides and overhead graphics enhance reports and presentations and they are easy to produce with presentation software, a color film recorder, and a color printer. In the PC environment good choices are Software Publishing's Harvard Graphics package; the Xerox 4020 Color Ink Jet Printer; and Magicorp, a slide making service in Elmsford, N.Y. There are three situations where graphics can pay big dividends: key points to be emphasized; numerical data to be graphed; and concepts that will be clarified by illustrations. Sometimes a good solution is a mixture of text and graphics presentation. The key is recognizing information that can best be presented by graphics.
