Journalism's newest labor issue is outsourcing, with hundreds of Reuters jobs moving to India by 2006, where News agencies see it as cutting costs, but journalist organizations question the quality. Every possible strategy to stop Reuters from taking steps that harm both its workers and the quality of its services is used so the outsourcing trend will slow down.

Israeli news agency gets fresh start

Article Abstract:

The Israeli News Agency (ITIM) finally gets the media limelight after fifty-four years with completely new owners and the courage and determination of a dedicated staff. ITIM is planning on expanding its services to the surrounding Arab world and beyond to the US, Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and the Far East.
