Looking at pictures; determining quality in your own time

Article Abstract:

The methodology used to determine quality contemporary art from lesser art is analyzed. Art that has longevity, that is capable of continually conjuring up memories, qualifies as superior art. A picture that constantly gives the viewer a new meaning each time it is viewed surpasses one that does not. Another suggested method to determine an art piece's aesthetic value is to buy it and place it in a prominent place in the home. If it continues to impose itself upon the viewer, it was a good buy. Other methods to determine an art piece's aesthetic value are included.
