The adaptation of existing copyrighted works to new means of exploitation continues to raise issues as new technology influences our lives more each year. A court case debating on the sale in digital format of eight works, each of which was subject to an earlier publishing agreement, is presented.

Transition to ISBN for U.S. publishers
Article Abstract:
The recommended timetable for making the transition of ISBN-13, and the incremental changes that U.S. publishers need to implement in order to handle 13 digit ISBNs in their business process is outlined. Further, the necessity of transition from a ten-digit to the thirteen-digit ISBN is argued.
