Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of one particular treatment modality for adolescents emphasizing the compelling need for further and larger systematic investigation into treatments for both adolescent and adult is highlighted. Without exception, adolescent studies involved the parents or family in the treatment, wherein the adult studies were much more varied in terms of treatments that were compared.

Article Abstract:
The evidence-based medical complications and treatments that are both common and unique to adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN) are discussed. The increasing growth of evidence highlights the importance of early identification and treatment by an interdisciplinary team of health care providers who have expertise in managing adolescents with AN and their medical sequelae.

A study investigates the clinical features of British South Asian adolescent females presenting with low weight in the absence of organic disease. South Asian patients presented more frequently with loss of appetite and less frequently with fat phobia and weight preoccupation.
