Article Abstract:

Behavior-analytic research methods are preferable to other approaches because they utilize replicable procedures for the analysis of practical problems. With the behavior-analytic approach, it has been possible to construct technologies which have known effects on the problems previously addressed. Although much of applied behavioral research efforts have involved relatively few subjects, new research is being conducted on a larger scale.

Manipulations of the relationship between reported self-efficacy and performance

Article Abstract:

The correlation between reported self-efficacy and performance as outlined by Bandura's notion of self-efficacy was investigated using a series of three studies. All three studies successfully replicated the typical statistically positive correlation and manipulated the relationship between reported self-efficacy and performance. The implications of the results on research methodology are discussed.
