Body image and eating disturbance in India: media and interpersonal influence
Article Abstract:
An examination on the relationships between the variables of body mass index (BMI), interpersonal teasing, media internalization, body dissatisfaction, and drive for thinness is made. The results were compared with those from the U.S., Australia and Sweden which showed that there were similar potential risk factors, cross culturally, that explained the development of eating and shape-related problems.

Effect of social desirability on adolescent girls' responses to an eating disorders prevention program
Article Abstract:
A study of the prevention research is made in which, the social desirability response bias is a source of measurement. The findings showed that changes in girl's self-reports related a prevention program was relatively free of social desirability response bias.
