A cross-cultural examination of the relationship between materialism and individual values

Article Abstract:

A study on relationship between materialism and consumer values based on consumers from Canada, United States and Germany is presented. For measuring the consumer values factors like happiness, success and centrality are used. The study indicates that these factors become an important method of determining materialism and attitudes towards it in different cultures.
