Article Abstract:
The case of a 23-year-old anorexic woman who was treated at home with intravenous parenteral hyperalimentation is believed to be the first of its kind in Israel. This patient gained 10 kg within seven months, began eating solid food again and returned to normal eating habits. This case has highlighted the benefits of home treatment, including encouraging the patient's sense of control over the treatment. However, it is important to consider the potential negative aspects of home treatment, including the danger of intentional sabotage by the patient.

Article Abstract:
Research into risk factors connected with early dropout from inpatient treatment for anorexia nervosa is presented. It was found that the clinical indices that indicate poor long-term prospects, including previous hospitalizations and long duration of illness, are not linked with predicting short-term outcome. The comparison of early and late dropouts did not produce significant findings.
