The lawmaking process in Cuba: Debating the bill on agricultural cooperatives

Article Abstract:

The lawmaking process functions of the Cuban National Assembly is demonstrated, which operates on the basis of five principles, as per observations and research. Law 36 on agricultural cooperatives was passed in 1982, with the main thrust of regulating the Agricultural Production Cooperatives (CPA) and by September, 2001 four versions was circulated by deputies and farmers who contributed to substantive changes in the law.
