An interview with Mexican president Carlos Salinas regarding his perceptions on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is presented. NAFTA's primary objective is to provide clear rules that will regulate the trade between the US, Canada and Mexico and not to establish a trade bloc.
