Article Abstract:

The increasing use of electronic communication and information systems is giving rise to the formation of megacities. Improved technologies and expanded markets will further result in the erosion of social communication, heralding an era of generalized urbanization that ended urban civilization.

Article Abstract:

Edge Cities were made by, for and of the American middle and upper-middle classes. They were born when jobs and businesses began invading suburbs in the 1980s. However, what makes one Edge City more conducive to urbane living than another is the presence of civilization.
