Algeria tries to escape the nightmare

Article Abstract:

The chance for a peaceful and politically stable future in Algeria is largely dependent on the actions of Algeria's president Liamine Zeroual and his government's amended constitution. Since the nullification of the parliamentary elections in 1991, Algeria has been plagued by violence and terrorism. President Zeroual's promise of new elections in 1997 and to uphold the policies on which he was elected have quieted some members of the opposition and led to a decrease in violent activities.

Article Abstract:

The market crisis in Asia has been difficult for many countries such as Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and even Japan. However, there may be a positive trend toward growth of a regional identity. Asian leaders recognize that this crisis was as a result of internal problems, and they will attempt to solve them collectively at the regional level. All states have considered preparing funds to adjust their collective East Asian economies.

Article Abstract:

Massacres of Algerian civilians amd major human rights violations reveal the country's inability to overcome violence, which started with the army's cancellation of the general election in 1992. A major factor contributing to the long civil conflict arises from the 1995 elections. Algerians were extremely critical about 'Pouvoir', the divided group of generals that monopolized power.
