Resolutions adopted at the NPT extension conference

Article Abstract:

The NPT extension conference accepted the aims and principles of non-proliferation of nuclear arms which included universal adherence, nuclear disarmament, a nuclear weapons free zone, security guarantees, safeguards and the peaceful use of energy. The conference also decided that there should be a transparency in nuclear associated exports among the interested states which abide by the treaty. The power of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is a competent authority to monitor the compliance of safeguard agreements, should not be reduced.
