CHINA: CONVERSION OF HOTEL FINALISED BY RAMADA

Article Abstract:

A unit of Marriott International, Ramada International Hotels & Resorts (Ramada) is now owning 4 Ramada Plaza hotels in China. This is following the addition of Suzhou-based Ramada Bamboo Grove Plaza Hotel that has been converted from Bamboo Grove Hotel. The newly converted hotel that has 356 rooms will be run by Suzhou Tourism (Group) and Hong Kong-based Ryoden Development under franchise basis.

SWITZERLAND: CIBA VISION, JENOPTIK DEAL

Article Abstract:

From the beginning of July 1999 German Jena-based Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH (LOS), a subsidiary of Jenoptik, is taking over the production and logistics of precision glass moulds for Ciba Vision. The contract is worth DM 50mn within four years. The moulds are used in daily contact lenses.
