Boldline as a sunscreen: its photoprotector capacity against UVB radiation
Article Abstract:
Boldine may serve as a substance to prevent the damages caused by exposure to UV rays. It is a novel and potentially alternative antioxidant. A widely distributed native tree, boldo, in Chile is the source of boldine which is actually (S)-2,9-dihydroxy-aporphine. The leaf of the tree is the source of the product. The structure of boldine is provided in the article.
