A study into the aging process found people with a positive and empathic approach to life lived longer and more healthily. Weight, smoking, alcohol consumption, marital status, physical activity and education all played a role in promoting longevity.

Rescue at the bottom of the world

The bravery and courage of four members of a South Pole rescue team helped save the life of research scientist Dr Jerri Nielson who had discovered she was suffering from cancer and needed immediate assistance to return home.
