One of the epic dramas at the 1998 Festival of Perth in Australia was 'The Seven Streams of the River Ota,' a decades-spanning work by Robert Lepage that makes imaginative use of new technology. 'Cloudstreet,' based on the book by Tim Winton, was an authentic epic of family life in Perth. Other festival performances included 'Stimmung,' 'Titanick' and 'Le Cercle Invisible.'
