Using a genetic algorithm to predict evaluation of acute coronary syndromes

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to figure out if genetic algorithms (GAs) can be used to decipher the prediction rules followed by emergency department (ED) nurses to evaluate acute coronary syndromes (ACS) in patients. The GAs are found to be equally accurate as the binary logistic regression (BLR), as it presents several user-friendly flowcharts that are used to combine the cues used in triaging men as well as women.
