Time bomb threatens pension system: report

A new report from the Association of Canadian Pension Management says Canada's Pension Plan and medicare are threatened by thre growing numbers of Canadians who will retire by 2030. The baby boom generation, whose member are both living longer and have fewer children, may require an increase in premiums and a decrease in benefits.

WestJet expects growth of 50% in 2003

Article Abstract:

Westjet Airlines Ltd. is forecasting growth in passenger capacity of 50% in the 2003 year. Such growth would make the airline approximately the same size that Canadian Airlines was within Canada in 1999.

Air Canada revenue plunging

Article Abstract:

Air Canada is expecting a more than 1 billion Canadian dollar revenue shortfall for the 2003 year. The carrier also cautioned that its share will become practically valueless.
