There's more to Heimlich than one maneuver

Article Abstract:

Dr. Henry J. Heimlich, the inventor of the Heimlich Maneuver, has been responsible for other life-saving devices and medical procedures. Heimlich invented in 1964 the Heimlich valve, a device for draining chest wounds. He also devised the Heimlich operation for constructing a new esophagus.

These kids won't go to bed unhappy

Article Abstract:

Carol and Hurt Porter started the 'Kid-Care' program in Houston, TX, in 1990. The Porters work part-time to support themselves, and cook and deliver over 200 meals daily to hungry children. American Express and other local groups have joined the cause.

Article Abstract:

Thirteen million young Americans do voluntary work annually and are involved in helping their communities. National Youth Service Day is held yearly and encourages many young people to take their first steps in volunteering.
