Article Abstract:
Controversy surrounds the estate of British expressionist painter Francis Bacon, who died at 82 years of age in 1992. He left all of his $A150 mil estate to his lover of the last 16 years of his life, John Edwards, but as of June 1999, the estate has not been resolved. Edwards hired artist Brian Clarke as sole executor and John Eastman, brother of the late Linda McCartney, has joined the team as principal attorney. Much of the dispute is with Bacon's former artistic manager, Marlborough Fine Art.
