Article Abstract:

The Paul Bernardo's double murder trial has highlighted the hidden fears of young women. Why today's girls and young women are so fearful of assault, and what can be done to help them, is discussed. In Canada, a sexual assault occurs every 17 minutes. Pros and cons of self-defense skills are discussed.

Research clearly indicates that people with sedentary lifestyles have a greater incidence of many heath problems including heart disease and cancer. However, research has been unclear about how much exercise is needed to reap significant health benefits.
