The actions Ottawa's justice department has taken against Mulroney has threatened the most important freedom in Canada. In its attempts to charge Mulroney with accepting bribes for government contracts, the justice department ignored Mulroney's right to the presumption of innocence.

How Indian self-rule can bring prosperity

Article Abstract:

Canadian Indians living in Sechelt, British Columbia, have been practicing self-rule since 1986, and have had great success with job creation and maintaining a thriving community. The Sechelt band is a good example of why Canadian Indians should be allowed to govern themselves.
