The comics world, with an almost Newtonian sense of balance, has grown smarter, sharper and more arresting and is also tackling subjects that were previously left to other forms. The small scale of the images the directness of the medium that has something in common with handwriting allow comics a kind of intimacy that also make them surprisingly well suited to autobiography.

A new report from Citibank found that 44% of current mortgage holders expect to carry the debt into retirement. Topping this list are redraw facilities and line of credit mortgages, the former offering the advantage of letting the borrowers to withdraw any additional repayments.
