Global market of the 1990s

Article Abstract:

The world automobile market has undergone a dramatic change from what it was a decade or so ago. The entry of Japanese made products has forever changed the way in which cars are conceptualized, manufactured and sold. Today, consumers are offered with a profusion of different makes and models from which to choose from. Another difference is that of the consumers themselves. Consumers are now more product literate than they were before, a result of experience gleaned from previous vehicle ownership.

Is privatization the best way to solve the nation's highway congestion problems?

Article Abstract:

Some people think privatization is the answer to the nation's highway congestion problem because citizens will not accept an increase in taxes to fund the highways, and they believe tolls would be a better way to raise funds. Opponents of privatization say that Americans are impressed with the country's federally funded interstates, and support the federal gas tax when used for road and bridge repairs.
